Frequently asked questions
Are PDFs uploaded?
No. PDFs are read and split in your current browser and are not sent to a FileOnTap conversion server.
Does splitting reduce quality?
Pages are copied directly into new documents without re-rendering, so the split step does not deliberately reduce image or vector quality.
Can I split into several ranges at once?
Yes. For example, 1-3;4-6;7 creates three separate PDFs.
Can every page become a separate PDF?
Yes. Choose “Split every page into its own PDF.” That mode currently supports up to 30 pages at once to avoid creating too many files.
Are password-protected PDFs supported?
Not yet. PDFs that require a password are not supported in this version.
