FileOnTap

Terms of Use

These terms describe the current free FileOnTap tools. Reviewed October 10, 2026.

The service

FileOnTap provides free browser-based image and PDF conversion, compression and guides without a FileOnTap account. Supported formats and file limits are specified on each tool page and may change.

Your files and permissions

You choose the source files and must have the necessary rights to process them. Supported conversion operations run in your browser rather than uploading source file content to a FileOnTap conversion server. Loading site assets, analytics and third-party documentation can still involve network requests. See our Privacy Policy.

Conversions can change quality, transparency, color and embedded metadata. Certain password-protected, damaged or unusual files may fail. Keep your originals and verify outputs before submitting, sharing or deleting important documents.

Availability and information

The service and guides are provided as available. No guarantee is made that every device, browser, file variation or third-party workflow will work. File format guides provide general technical information, not professional legal, medical or financial advice.

External resources

Our guides sometimes cite official vendor documentation; external websites have separate terms and privacy practices. References do not imply endorsement by those vendors.
