When should you convert HEIC to PDF?
PDF is useful when the photo needs to behave more like a document. Common examples include submitting an iPhone photo as an attachment, printing it, keeping a document-style archive copy, or sending it to a workflow that expects PDF rather than HEIC.
This version is intentionally focused: one HEIC photo becomes one PDF page. If you only need broad image compatibility, HEIC to JPG will usually produce a lighter file. If you plan to keep editing the decoded image, use HEIC to PNG.
The generated PDF is a new compatibility copy, not a complete archival replacement for the source HEIC. EXIF metadata and Live Photo motion are not guaranteed to be preserved, so keep the original file when those details matter.
